Terms and Conditions
Changed on 26 October 2026. A warning now only stops you from posting reviews; it no longer suspends your account. Administrators can lift a warning, suspension or ban, and you can report another traveler from their profile.
These Terms are the agreement between you and the dev team who run LibotBulacan (“we”, “us”). They cover the app, this website and the server behind them (together, “LibotBulacan”).
By creating an account or using LibotBulacan, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. When you sign up, you tick a box to say you have read and agree to both. That tick is a valid electronic agreement under the Electronic Commerce Act (Republic Act No. 8792), and we record which version you agreed to and when. If you do not agree, do not use LibotBulacan.
1. Who can use LibotBulacan
- You are at least 13 years old.
- You live in Bulacan. LibotBulacan is for residents of the province, and signing up asks for your municipality.
- You have one account, under your real name, with an email address that is yours.
- You keep your password to yourself. What happens on your account is your responsibility.
2. What LibotBulacan is
LibotBulacan is a free guide to tourist spots in Bulacan. It has spot information, maps and directions, arrival check-ins, the Bakit List missions, points, badges and titles, augmented reality (AR), reviews and a leaderboard. It has no ads and nothing to buy.
Points, badges and titles have no money value. You cannot exchange them for cash, goods or services, or give them to someone else. We may correct them if they were earned by mistake or by breaking these Terms.
LibotBulacan is an independent project. It is not an official app of the Provincial Government of Bulacan, any municipality, the Department of Tourism, any church, or the owners of the places it lists, and none of them endorses it.
3. Visiting places
- Opening hours, entrance fees and descriptions can change or be wrong. Check with the place or the municipal tourism office before you go.
- Directions are a guide. Routes are worked out from map data that can be wrong or out of date, so follow road signs, traffic laws and local authorities. Do not use the app while driving.
- Watch where you walk, especially in AR. The AR and 3D models are illustrations, not exact copies of the places.
- Many spots are churches, shrines, museums and heritage sites. Follow their rules on dress, Mass and service times, and photography. Do not enter closed or private areas, and do not damage or take anything. Cultural property is protected by the National Cultural Heritage Act of 2009 (Republic Act No. 10066).
- Your safety, transport, costs and belongings on a trip are your own responsibility.
4. Fair play
Do not fake your location (for example with a mock-location or GPS-spoofing app), send mission photos you did not take at the spot, make more than one account, or use bots or scripts. If you do, we may remove points and badges, reset your progress, or suspend or close your account.
5. Reviews and photos
Who can review
You can review a spot once the app has recorded your arrival there: one review per spot, of up to 250 characters and four photos. Anyone can read reviews.
What you post must
- be honest and about your own visit;
- be yours, or something you have the right to share;
- contain no hate speech, harassment, threats, obscenity or nudity;
- make no false claims that damage someone’s reputation (online libel is a crime under the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, Republic Act No. 10175);
- not show anyone’s personal details, such as a phone number or home address, or photos of people, especially children, who have not agreed to be posted;
- not be spam, advertising or anything illegal.
What you post stays yours
By posting a review or photo, you let us store, show, copy and adapt it (for example, resize a photo) in the app and on this website, worldwide and free of charge. This permission is not exclusive. It ends when the review is deleted, apart from copies in backups until they expire. If your account is deleted, archived for inactivity or banned, we stop showing your reviews and photos and keep a copy for our records.
Other travelers’ reviews
Reviews are the opinions of the travelers who write them, not ours. Apart from hiding bad words automatically, we do not check reviews before they appear, and we are not responsible for what they say. We remove any that break these rules.
6. Warnings, suspensions and bans
Bad words in a review are hidden automatically and shown as ***. Administrators read reviews and look into reports from travelers. If you break these Terms, an administrator may warn you, suspend your account or ban it.
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| First warning | You cannot post reviews for 7 days. |
| Second warning, and any after it | You cannot post reviews for 14 days. |
| First suspension | You cannot use your account for 7 days. |
| Second suspension | You cannot use your account for 14 days. |
| Third suspension | Your account is banned permanently. |
A warning only stops you from posting reviews. It never suspends your account.
While your account is suspended, the app shows only the date the suspension ends. Your trips, badges and points are kept, and the account opens again by itself on that date.
For serious violations, such as threats or illegal content, an administrator may skip steps and ban the account straight away. A banned account is closed and hidden. You can appeal from the app within 30 days, and an administrator reads every appeal. An administrator can also lift a warning, suspension or ban early. It stays in your record, marked as lifted.
You can report another traveler from their profile, for example for an offensive name or photo, harassment, pretending to be someone else, spam or cheating. An administrator looks at every report. Do not make false reports.
7. Your account
- You can stop using LibotBulacan at any time. To delete your account, open Edit Profile and choose Delete account; your account and sign-in are deleted right away. Without the app, the Privacy Policy explains how to ask by email. It also lists the records we keep.
- If you do not use LibotBulacan for 30 days or more, an administrator may archive your account as inactive. When you come back, you can ask from the app to have it restored.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or the law.
8. Our content
The app, its design, logo, text, 3D models and AR content belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors. You may use LibotBulacan for your own personal, non-commercial use. Do not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or scrape it, or use our name or logo, without our written permission.
9. Other services
LibotBulacan uses services run by others, including Google (Google sign-in, and ARCore for AR on Android), Apple (ARKit for AR on iPhone), Clerk (accounts) and OpenStreetMap (maps). Their own terms apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for them.
10. Availability
LibotBulacan is free and provided “as is”. We work to keep it running and accurate, but it may sometimes be slow, unavailable or wrong. We may pause it for maintenance, change or remove features, or stop offering it. Mobile data charges from your network are yours to pay.
11. Limits on our responsibility
As far as Philippine law allows, we are not responsible for loss or damage that comes from relying on spot information or directions, from your trips and visits, from content other travelers post, or from LibotBulacan being unavailable. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud, bad faith or gross negligence, or takes away your rights as a consumer under Philippine law.
If something you post, or your misuse of LibotBulacan, leads to a claim against us, you are responsible for it.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you in the app or by email about significant changes before they take effect. If you keep using LibotBulacan after that, you accept the new Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. If you have a problem, email us first. If we cannot settle it together, disputes go to the proper courts of the Province of Bulacan, Philippines. This does not take away any right you have to bring a case where you live.
